DIPOXY Primer S - premium 2K epoxy primer
DIPOXY Primer S is a solvent-free, medium-viscosity two-component epoxy primer for demanding substrates. It is used as an adhesion primer and base coat for concrete, screed, floors, garages, balconies, terraces, roofs, pools, ponds, aquariums, terrariums, boatbuilding, model making and glass fibre, carbon or aramid applications.
The formula penetrates pores, strengthens mineral substrates and creates a durable base for subsequent epoxy coatings. It is also suitable for difficult-to-wet, slightly damp or older surfaces where reliable adhesion is required.
- Mixing ratio 2:1 by weight
- Apply by roller, brush or spray gun
- Available in black and white
- Protection against water, moisture and wear
- Premium quality for private and commercial users
Coverage and application
As a rough rule, 1 kg equals 1 mm layer thickness on 1 m². We recommend 1-2 coats of 0.2 to 0.3 mm. On floors, 0.2-0.6 mm can be applied in one pass. If required, up to 8 mm can be applied at once.
Mix components A and B at 10 °C to 30 °C for about 4-5 minutes at a maximum of 250-350 rpm. After mixing, pour the material into a flat tray promptly because the chemical reaction releases heat.
Working time and curing
- 10 °C: approx. 40-60 min working time, touchable after approx. 24-48 h
- 20 °C: approx. 20-40 min working time, touchable after approx. 12-24 h
- 30 °C: approx. 10-25 min working time, touchable after approx. 6-12 h
- Final strength after approx. 2-4 days
Safety and storage
Shelf life approx. 1 year, ideally stored at 10-25 °C, dry and protected from direct sunlight. Contains epoxy compounds. May cause allergic reactions. Wear protective gloves and eye/face protection; avoid release to the environment.
